Iggy
Iggy is the official mascot of The University of Scranton Royals. The concept of Iggy was brought to life in 2004 and has since been a fixture on The University of Scranton campus. Named after St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, Iggy has served our University well, by being the #1 fan of the Royal athletic teams and by attending various campus and community events throughout the year.
IGGY Patrol
To better serve our University community, we have created the Iggy
Patrol – a group of student volunteers who will serve as our
mascot during the academic year. The Iggy Patrol is committed
to enthusiastically serving as our Royal mascot at athletic, campus
and community events. We understand the impact that our
mascot has, and we are dedicated to bringing Iggy to life in a way
that is in line with our Jesuit traditions and ideals.
