The University of Scranton To Launch Live Video Streaming Of Home Basketball Games On Friday
The University of Scranton athletics department will begin live
video streaming of home basketball games beginning with the
men’s and women’s doubleheader against Goucher College
on Friday, Jan. 6, in the Long Center.
Games will be broadcast via UStream, a free online broadcast
platform. Fans can find the broadcast by clicking the
“Webcast” link on the bottom right side of the
athletics home page, http://athletics.scranton.edu, by visiting the
teams’ schedule pages on the athletics website and clicking
“Video,” or by visiting http://www.ustream.tv/channel/university-of-scranton-athletics.
There is no fee to watch the broadcasts, which will begin
approximately 30 minutes prior to tip-off.
Friday’s games begin with the men’s game at 5:30 p.m.,
followed by the women’s game at approximately 7:30 p.m. The
Royals and Lady Royals will also host Catholic University on
Saturday, Jan. 7, in the Long Center at 2 and 4 p.m.
For those planning to attend Friday and Saturday’s games,
tickets are $5.00 for adults (ages 18-61) and $3.00 for senior
citizens and children ages 8-17. All University of Scranton
students and children, ages seven and under accompanied by an
adult, will be admitted free.
The game will also be broadcast on WUSR, 99.5 FM, and over the
Internet at wusrfm.com, with veteran announcer Dean Corwin calling
all the action. Live statistics will be also available at the
