Field Hockey Teams To Walk, Collect Donations For Breast Cancer Awareness

The University of Scranton field hockey team defeated 19th-ranked Catholic, 1-0 in overtime, on Saturday.

Colleen Moyer, head field hockey coach at The University of Scranton, has announced that the Royals will join forces with backyard neighbor Keystone College in the fight against breast cancer.

This Saturday, September 8, both teams will walk together in the annual “Race for the Cure” event in downtown Scranton to benefit the Susan Komen Foundation.

The teams will also collect donations to be contributed to the Komen Foundation at Fitzpatrick Field when the teams play each other later on that afternoon beginning at 3:30 p.m.
