Junior forward Krista Osborne (Blue Bell, Pa./Gwynedd-Mercy Academy) and senior midfielder Alyssa Fania (Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon) both had three goals and an assist to lead The University of Scranton field hockey team to a 9-0 victory over Keystone College on Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.

Junior forward Alyssa Whitman (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) added a pair of goals and freshman forward Sierramarie Fitzgerald (Hackettstown, Pa./Hackettstown) also scored as the Royals had their largest offensive output since a 9-0 victory over Neumann on August 31, 2008.

The Royals also received assists from senior forward Cassie Mullen (Chester Springs, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) and sophomore forward Ana Bisciello (New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial) in the victory.

Scranton (2-0) held a commanding 40-2 advantage in shots over Keystone (1-1), and a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners. Keystone junior goalkeeper Nichole Blank (Schwenksville, Pa./Boyertown) kept the Royals from reaching double digits by making 15 saves in 57 minutes in goal, and the Giants also had two defensive saves.

Scranton is now 6-1 all-time against Keystone, including wins in each of the past five seasons.

The Royals return to action on Saturday, Sept. 6, when they host cross-town rival Marywood at 4 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
