Men's Basketball To Honor Kelly, Vitkus For Senior Day On Saturday
P.J. Kelly John Vitkus

The University of Scranton men's basketball will honor seniors P.J. Kelly (Blue Bell, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) and John Vitkus (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) as part of Senior Day prior to the Royals' regular season finale against Goucher on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. in the Long Center.

Kelly is currently a student assistant coach with the Royals after injuries forced him to sit out his senior season. In his first three seasons, he played in 20 games at guard, including six starts, shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Vitkus has been a starter over the past two seasons and currently leads the team in points (16.5), rebounds (8.5) and blocks (1.8) per game. He was named Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year and second team last season, and was awarded the John "Les" Dickman Award as the team's MVP this season.

The Royals (18-6, 10-3 Landmark) can secure the top seed in next week's Landmark Conference playoffs with a win on Saturday.
