Rogalski Accepts Head Men's Lacrosse Coaching Position At Lafayette College

Jim Rogalski, head men’s lacrosse coach
at The University of Scranton, notified Director of Athletics Toby
Lovecchio Friday afternoon of his decision to resign to accept the
men’s lacrosse head coaching position at Lafayette College in
Easton, Pennsylvania.
In two seasons, Rogalski led the Royals to an 18-15 record,
including a Landmark Conference championship and a berth in the
NCAA Division III championships in 2011. This past season,
Scranton finished 9-7 and advanced to the Landmark Conference
tournament for the fourth time in the league’s five-year
history.
A native of Arnold, Maryland, Rogalski has coached extensively on
the NCAA Division I and III level since his graduation from St.
Mary's College of Maryland in 1997. For six seasons prior to
his appointment at Scranton, he was a member of the coaching staff
at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, beginning his
career there as head assistant lacrosse coach in 2004 before being
promoted to associate head coach in 2007. He has also served
as an assistant coach at Drexel University, Washington & Lee
University, Goucher College, Western New England College, and St.
Mary's.
Lovecchio has also announced that the university will begin a
national search to hire a new head coach shortly.
