As part of the United Soccer Coaches Opening Training Week, the University of Scranton men's soccer program will be hosting an open practice for soccer coaches throughout the local community at Fitzpatrick Field on Thursday, October 5th beginning at 6 p.m. The practice is slated to run until 8 p.m.
United Soccer Coaches Opening Training Week, which will run nationwide throughout the country from October 3rd through October 8th, is a nationwide initiative that provides an opportunity for coaches from all levels and backgrounds to experience new environments, observe high-level training sessions, and learn from one another.
"From coast to coast, we want coaches from every background to have access to training sessions that will introduce them to new ideas, new individuals, and new environments," said Charlie Slagle, the president of the United Soccer Coaches. "This free educational and networking opportunity is part of our Association's mission to provide programs and services that enhance, encourage and contribute to the development of coaches."
