University of Scranton men's tennis junior Alexander Ochalski (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) was named the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week for the period ending October 2 on Monday afternoon.

This marks the first time in Ochalski's career that he has been named the Landmark Conference's Athlete of the Week.

On the week, Ochalski led the Royals to a pair of dominating victories over Marywood (9-0) and Messiah (8-1) in the only two matches Scranton will play in on the Fall 2017 campaign.

Overall, Ochalski was a perfect 4-0 on the week. He won both of his singles matches in straight sets (6-0, 6-0 against Marywood and 6-2, 6-1 against Messiah) at the number three spot in the Royals lineup, and also captured two doubles matches with two different partners. Ochalski did play both doubles matches in the number two spot, as well, winning 8-1 over Marywood and 8-4 over Messiah.

Ochalski and the rest of the University of Scranton men's tennis team will return to action in March to open their 2018 Spring schedule.
