MOOSIC, Pa. – The University of Scranton women's golf team battled to a 3-3 tie against Marywood in match play on Monday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club.

The Royals (8-2-1) forged the tie after suffering two losses to the Pacers earlier this season, once in the fall and again just six days ago. This time, Scranton was Marywood's equal as each team won three matches.

Freshman Brianna Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) earned a hard-fought 2-up victory to pace the Royals. Sophomore twin sisters Maggie McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) and Maura McDonough (Dunmore, Pa./Holy Cross) also posted wins, with Maggie winning 6-and-5, and Maura scoring a 3-and-1 victory.
