Drew eventually tied the game up at 6-all late in the period, but a goal by junior Morgan Windisch (Williston Park, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) to end the half gave the Royals a slim 7-6 lead into intermission.

Up by one to open the second half, freshman Shannon Warburton (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) quickly put the Royals up 8-6 with the first score of the second period. Drew answered, however, scoring two straight goals to tie the game back up at 8-8 with 17:23 left.
