Former Women's Lacrosse Stars Allen, Kerr To Play In World Cup Lacrosse Festival In London

University of Scranton women's lacrosse alumnae Erin Allen '16 and Meghan Kerr '17 have been selected to play in the World Cup Lacrosse Festival in London, England this week. Allen and Kerr are members of the D3 Elite South team that will face off against teams from Germany, Japan and England, as well as two other teams from the U.S.

Allen, who was also a member of the women's soccer team at Scranton, was a three-time all-Landmark Conference selection in women's lacrosse, earning first-team honors in 2016 and second-team accolades in 2014 and 2015. She was also a second-team all-Boardwalk Region selection by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association in 2016.

In four years with the Royals, Allen amassed 85 goals and 38 assists for 123 career points. She also had 131 ground balls, 100 caused turnovers and 30 draw controls in her 65 career games.

Allen, who is a native of Syosset, N.Y., currently serves as an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa.

Kerr graduated this spring as one of the program's top offensive players in school history. She finished her career with 160 goals, 78 assists, 238 points, 98 ground balls, 40 draw controls and 35 caused turnovers. She ranks fourth in career assists, fifth in career goals and career points, 23rd in career ground balls and tied for 24th in career caused turnovers in Scranton history.

Kerr was the Landmark Conference Player of the Year this past spring and is a three-time all-Landmark Conference first-team choice (2015, 2016, 2017). She was also a two-time all-Boardwalk Region first-team honoree (2016, 2017).
