Women's Soccer Ranked Sixth In Mid-Atlantic Region By United Soccer Coaches

The University of Scranton women's soccer team is ranked sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Region after the initial regional rankings were released by the United Soccer Coaches late Tuesday.

The Royals (2-2-0) are the highest ranked Landmark Conference team, ahead of Susquehanna (ninth) and Catholic (10th). Scranton has suffered two losses, both to highly ranked teams. Swarthmore is ranked 10th nationally and first in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and Western Connecticut State is ranked sixth in the New England Region and is receiving votes in the national poll.

Scranton is in action Wednesday night, hosting crosstown rival Marywood at 7 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
