Women's Soccer Climbs One Spot To Fifth In Regional Rankings

The University of Scranton women's soccer team rose one spot in the Mid-Atlantic Region rankings by the United Soccer Coaches, released Tuesday afternoon.

The Royals (5-2-1) had a win and a draw last week. The 0-0 draw in double overtime came on the road last Tuesday against New York University, which is currently 4-2-1 and ranked seventh in the East Region rankings. Scranton also posted a 1-0 victory over previously unbeaten Moravian in the Landmark Conference opener for both teams on Saturday.

The women's soccer team is in action this afternoon, facing Wilkes at 4:30 p.m. in Edwardsville, Pa. The Colonels are ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
