University of Scranton director of athletics Dave Martin announced on Wednesday that the University has entered into an agreement with Under Armour that makes the athletic performance brand the official outfitter of the Royals.
"We're thrilled to be partnering with Under Armour, one of the world leaders in the athletic apparel and footwear industry," Martin said. "This partnership will benefit every student-athlete and coach in all 23 of our intercollegiate sports."
Under the terms of the agreement, which became official on July 1 and runs through June 30, 2022, each of the University's 23 intercollegiate athletic teams will be outfitted in Under Armour apparel and gear exclusively for training and game day. Also as part of the agreement, all teams will conduct an online store each year.
The University will use a local Under Armour supplier, Battaglia's Sporting Goods, as its source for apparel and gear. Battaglia's is located at 501 Wyoming Avenue in Scranton.
As part of the announcement, the University's athletics team store is now online through Nov. 30. All orders will be delivered approximately three weeks after the store closes, just in time for the holidays.
