The University of Scranton is in second place in the Landmark Conference Presidents' Trophy standings following the completion of the fall sports season.
Scranton has an 8.72 average at the end of the fall on the strength of a conference title by the women's soccer team. Women's volleyball reached the conference title match and field hockey also qualified for the postseason. Men's and women's cross country both finished fourth at the conference championships, giving the Royals five teams with top-four finishes in the conference.
The Royals trail only Elizabethtown (9.08). Juniata is third at 7.55, followed by Susquehanna (7.22), Catholic (6.33), Moravian (5.33), Drew (3.70) and Goucher (1.50).
The Presidents' Trophy is awarded based on a formula that rewards institutions for regular season conference standings as well as results in Landmark postseason competition. The total number of points each institution earns is divided by the number of Landmark sports sponsored to determine the average.
