Men's Basketball (2-6)
It was a quiet week in University of Scranton athletics due to final exams, with just one event, which came on Monday, Dec. 4, when the men's basketball team hosted Neumann in the Long Center. The Royals hung close until midway through the second half, eventually falling to the Knights, 83-70.
Scranton (2-6) received a team-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers, from senior guard Ethan Danzig (Clarks Green, Pa./Abington Heights). Senior forward Drew Schankweiler (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) had his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore guard Kyle DeVerna (Rockville Centre, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) added 11 points and four assists.
The Royals return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 12, when they host Arcadia in a non-conference game at 7 p.m. in the Long Center.
