    The University of Scranton placed an impressive 71 student-athletes on the 2020 Landmark Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, according to a release from the conference office on Friday morning.

    It was another busy week for The University of Scranton Department of Athletics, as several winter sports teams (women's basketball, indoor track & field) had their seasons come to a close, while the softball team opened their 2020 slate at home. Baseball, along with men's & women's lacrosse, were also in action.

    It was a banner week for The University of Scranton athletics department, headlined by the women's basketball team winning their fifth straight Landmark Conference title and the wrestling team registering their highest finish ever at an NCAA Regional event in program history. Several other teams were in action, as well, including both lacrosse teams, baseball, track & field, and men's tennis squads.

    It was another busy week for The University of Scranton department of athletics, as one spring sport began their season (men's lacrosse) and two others (men's and women's swimming & diving) wrapped up their 2019-20 campaigns with solid performances at the 2020 Landmark Conference Championships. Other winter sports (men's and women's basketball, wrestling and men's and women's track & field) were also in action on the week, as well.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second consecutive year, senior Jon Roberts of The University of Scranton men’s soccer team has been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-East Region Second Team as announced by the organization on Monday afternoon.

    After leading The University of Scranton women’s soccer team to another Landmark Conference championship and a berth into the NCAA Division III Championship field, senior Rebecca Russo (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) and junior Erin Toburen (Harleysville, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) were honored for their work in the classroom on Monday, nabbing spots on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-East Region Team for NCAA Division III.

    The Fall athletics season came to a close this past week, as the field hockey team played in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 22 years, women's soccer advanced in the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season, and cross country took part in the NCAA Regionals. Meanwhile, the women's basketball team started their 2019-20 season, and men's basketball, wrestling, and swimming & diving were all in action.
