Game Day Programs to be Produced Digitally in 2019-20 Athletics Year

SCRANTON - The University of Scranton is going green starting in the Fall 2019 season, moving most game-day programs to a digital format that can be accessed on the athletic website.

Game programs, which typically are given out at each home contest, provide rosters, schedules, and game notes for each event. That information, as well as much more, is now found online on the athletic website.

Programs for home University of Scranton events will be available HERE at least 24 hours prior to each event. In select circumstances, where one team plays on consecutive days, the program may not be available 24 hours in advance but will be offered as soon as possible. You can also access this 'Game Programs' page under the 'Fan Zone' dropdown on the athletic website.

"Digital programs", which have been adopted at most NCAA Division III Championships in lieu of hard copies, can include links to more in-depth information found online.

Larger schools such as Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin have eliminated printing media guides, instead of providing the information to the media and fans digitally online. Major League Baseball has also ceased printing their traditional preseason guides in print format, instead offering the publications to the media online.

For Scranton fans who want to have a printed program, the digital format will be in PDF and easily printable for the home user on 8.5" x 11" paper.

The 2019-20 Athletics Year at The University of Scranton kicks off on Friday afternoon, as the field hockey team hosts Muhlenberg at Weiss Field beginning at 4 p.m. Then, at 5 p.m., the volleyball team opens the 2019 Scranton Invitational inside the John Long Center with a season-opening match against New Paltz.
