Junior outfielder Connor Harding (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) of The University of Scranton baseball team was named a First Team Preseason All-American by D3baseball.com as announced on Thursday.

This comes on the heels of Harding receiving Third Team All-American honors from the website after a record-breaking 2019 campaign that also saw him earn Landmark Conference Player of the Year honors and D3baseball.com All-Mid Atlantic Region honors. He became the first Scranton baseball player to earn All-American honors since the site began the program in 2007.

Harding hit .464 a season ago and compiled a program record 70 hits to go along with three home runs, eight doubles, a program record nine triples and 34 RBI. The Vestal, N.Y., native led the Landmark Conference in batting average, on-base percentage (.517), hits and triples. Additionally, Harding scored 46 runs and stole 14 bases on the year.

Harding had at least one hit in 34 of 39 games and registered 22 multi-hit performances.

The Royals qualified for the Landmark Conference tournament for the second consecutive year after going 17-22 overall with a 9-9 mark in conference play.
