Junior outfielder Connor Harding (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) of The University of Scranton baseball team was named Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sunday, Mar. 8 on Tuesday morning.

Harding hit .533 (8-15) in four games last week with a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Scranton registered a pair of wins on the week as they split a doubleheader with Albright on Saturday and closed the week with a 6-1 win over Brockport on Sunday. The Vestal, N.Y., native went 3-4 with a double, RBI, stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's victory.

On the season, Harding is hitting .500 (12-24) on the season with a home run, four RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases in six games. The junior has turned in five multi-hit games thus far.

The University of Scranton baseball team hosts SUNY New Paltz to close out a season-opening homestand on Wednesday, March 11. First pitch at Volpe Field is slated for 4 p.m.
