Senior first baseman Kevin Haag (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining/Bridgton Academy (Maine)) of The University of Scranton baseball team was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on Monday along with six other senior baseball players from around the conference.

With the unprecedented cancellation of spring sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark Conference will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored spring sport for the remainder of the academic year. All honorees were nominated by their respective institutions.

Haag earned All-Landmark Conference Second Team honors as a freshman in 2017 and is also a two-time Landmark Player of the Week honoree.

Haag is one of six senior members of the Royals along with infielders Tim Gailor (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), infielder Brandon Peters (Peckville, Pa./Valley View), catcher Matt Fisch (Spring Brook Township, Pa./North Pocono), left-hander Kyle Bravin (Washington Township, Pa./Westwood Regional) and right-hander Sam Flannery (Hop Bottom, Pa./Mountain View).
