Junior outfielder Connor Harding (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) of The University of Scranton baseball team was named to the 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team that was announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
Harding earned the honor for NCAA Division III baseball in District 4, which includes all Division III institutions throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Vestal, N.Y., native boasts an impressive 3.97 GPA as a Business Administration major at the University.
This marks the second straight year that Harding has garnered Academic All-District honors and the outfielder also earned Academic All-America recognition a season ago. Harding advances to the 2020 Academic All-America ballot with honorees slated to be announced the week of June 8.

Harding has appeared in 84 games over his first two plus seasons with the Royals and has hit .418 with four home runs, 66 RBI, 16 doubles, 11 triples, 32 stolen bases and 77 runs scored. As a sophomore in 2019, he set single-season program records in hits (70) and triples (nine) en route to being named Landmark Conference Player of the Year and earning D3baseball.com All-American accolades.
The junior had earned D3baseball.com Preseason All-American honors this year and was off to a red-hot start; hitting .500 (14-28) with four RBI, three doubles and three runs scored in the Royals' first seven games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
