Field Hockey’s Jessica Pankey Nabs Longstreth/NFHCA All-Region Selection

Senior defender Jessica Pankey (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) added another award to her career trophy case on Monday afternoon, as she was nabbed a First Team selection on the 2015 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association of America (NFCHA) Division III All-Region squad.

Pankey, who earned First Team honors in the South Atlantic Region, earns a spot on the team for the second straight season, as she was a Second Team pick at the end of the 2014 campaign.

She is also the fifth Royal to earn First Team All-Region honors in program history, as well.

Pankey, who was named the 2015 Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-Landmark First Team earlier this month, ends her career scoring 13 goals and adding 11 assists on the offensive end, while anchoring a strong defensive unit that pitched seven shutouts on the 2015 season.

Scranton finished the 2015 season with a 13-5 overall record and qualified for the Landmark Conference Tournament for the fifth straight season.
