Senior guard Ross Danzig (Clarks Green, Pa./Abington Heights/Blair Academy-NJ) shot a season-high 67 percent from the field and finished with 15 points and six assists in leading The University of Scranton men’s basketball team to an 84-57 victory over Moravian College on Wednesday, January 21, at the Long Center.

For his effort, he was named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week today, picking up this award for the first time this season and for the 11th time in his career.

Danzig’s effort Wednesday also moved him into 12th-place on the Royals’ all-time scoring list with 1617 points.  In the latest Landmark Conference statistical rankings, he is second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.3), fourth in assists (4.3), seventh in rebounding (5.8), and 16th in scoring (13.2).

The Royals, now 13-4 overall and 7-1 in the Landmark Conference, return to action this Wednesday, January 28, against Drew University (10-8 overall/5-4 Landmark) at the Baldwin Gymnasium in Madison, New Jersey, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
