On Monday, Boken was named Middle Atlantic Region Player of the Year by D3hoops.com, marking his second straight season earning first-team all-Middle Atlantic Region honors. He is the first player in Scranton history to earn region Player of the Year honors since D3hoops.com began naming all-region teams for the 2001-02 season.

Boken became the school's all-time leading scorer when he finished his career with 1,911 points, surpassing the previous record of 1,903 set by Gene Mumford (1968-71). Boken set the mark late in the first half of the Royals' NCAA Tournament first-round matchup with Lynchburg in Delaware, Ohio.

This is the second player of the year honor for Boken, who was also named Landmark Conference Player of the Year. He led the conference in scoring at 22.3 points per game and was second in rebounding at 8.7 per game. He also averaged 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks while shooting 55.7 percent from the field.

Six times this season Boken scored at least 30 points, and he had 10 other games of 20 or more points. He finished with 13 double-doubles and 10 games of four or more assists.

Boken's 601 points this season are the eighth-most in a single season in Scranton history, and his 22.3 points per game ranks 12th. His 221 made field goals are also the 12th-most in a single season, and he made 141 free throws, which rank 13th in Royals history.

Earlier in the season, Boken became just the second player in school history to reach 1,000 points, 800 rebounds and 200 assists in a career, joining Brian O'Donnell (2001-05).
