The University of Scranton men's basketball team will take on Oswego State in an NCAA Tournament first-round game on Friday, March 3, at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.

Game time will be announced on Tuesday. This will be the second matchup all-time between Scranton (21-6) and Oswego State (21-6). The Royals won the only other meeting, 77-52, on Jan. 25, 1977. Scranton last played an NCAA Tournament game at Williams in the 2011 tournament.

Scranton is making its fourth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and the 28th in school history. This is also the 10th NCAA Tournament in head coach Carl Danzig's 16 seasons. He led the Royals to the Sweet 16 in 2003 and the Elite Eight in 2012.

The Royals earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with their 68-63 victory in the Landmark Conference championship game on Saturday in the Long Center. It was the Royals' seventh Landmark title in 10 years and the program's 24th conference title overall, including nine under the tutelage of Danzig.

Friday's other first-round matchup features the host Williams (19-8) against Becker (19-8). The winners of Friday's games meet in a second-round game on Saturday at Williams.
