An outstanding senior campaign for senior forward Matthew Mancuso (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) was recognized yet again on Tuesday afternoon, as he was named to the 2019-20 All-Middle Atlantic Region First Team and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III All-District Second Team for the Middle Atlantic Region.

With the announcement, Mancuso joins an elite list of Royals men's basketball players who have earned honors from both and the NABC in a season.

Mancuso, who was named to the All-Region Second Team last year, is just the fourth player in program history to earn the accolade from the site on two occasions in his career, joining Brendan Boken (2015, 2016), Ross Danzig (2013, 2014) and Zach Ashworth (2010, 2011). On the NABC All-District side, Mancuso becomes the 42nd student-athlete in program history to nab the honor. He is also the first Scranton player to take the accolade since John Vitkus did after the 2016-17 season.

A 2019-20 All-Landmark Conference First Team selection, Mancuso had a banner final campaign in the Scranton program, as he led the Royals in scoring and rebounding all season long in pacing the Royals to a 19-8 finish and a spot in the Landmark Conference title game.

Ending the year averaging a double-double at 18 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, Mancuso finished with 15 double-doubles for the season, scoring in double-figures in every game but one for the Royals.

The conference's second-leading scorer and rebounder at the end of the year, Mancuso put together two 30+ scoring performances throughout the year, with the best game of his entire career coming on Nov. 23, when he poured in a career-high 38 points and pulled down 22 rebounds to lead the Royals to a 93-86 win. For his efforts, he went on to earn several awards, including the USBWA National Player of the Week honor.

On Jan. 18 at Catholic, Mancuso scored 23 points to lead Scranton to a win, but more importantly, he became a career 1,000-point scorer in the victory. For his career, Mancuso finishes with 1,209 career points, which is 27th best all-time in program history.
