Royals Rewind: The 2020 Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Semifinals

Throughout the month of July and into early August, we will look back on some of the best moments of the 2019-20 season for The University of Scranton Department of Athletics in a series entitled "Royals Rewind". Our third moment - the men's basketball teams historic 93-81 win at Drew in the 2020 Landmark Conference Semifinals on Feb. 26, 2020.

Revenge was on the minds of The University of Scranton men's basketball team heading into their 2020 Landmark Conference Semifinal clash at Drew.

Just one week prior to the playoff showdown, Scranton let a double-digit lead get away in a 73-70 home loss to the Rangers that ultimately gave Drew the home-court advantage for their date with Scranton. And a year prior, Drew had knocked off Scranton in the semifinal round in Madison, N.J. (75-69), ending the Royals' season in the process.

In front of a raucous crowd at Drew, Scranton exacted the revenge they were seeking, as they bounced the Rangers out of the Landmark Conference playoffs with a historic 93-81 win in which the Royals had their highest offensive output ever in a conference playoff game in program history (85 games).

Earlier this week, senior guard Logan Bailey (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep) and junior guard Jackson Danzig (Clarks Green, Pa./Abington Heights), joined Sports Information Director John Gatto to chat about the playoff win at Drew and watch some highlights from that evening in February.
