MOOSIC, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's golf team put together a solid effort for most of Tuesday afternoon, but it was good enough only for a split in a tri-match against King's and Keystone at breezy Glenmaura National Golf Club.
Scranton (3-2) finished with a total of 327, two strokes behind King's and well ahead of Keystone's 377.
Senior Tyler Huggins (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and junior David Harris (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) both shot 9-over-par 80 to lead Scranton. Junior Matthew Kane (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) added an 83 and sophomore Griffin Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) shot 84 to round out the team's top four scores.
Scranton will return to action this weekend when the Royals compete in the first two rounds of the Empire 8 Conference championships on Saturday and Sunday at Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville, N.Y.
