FACTORYVILLE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's golf team posted six scores of 84 or better en route to a 317-335 victory over Keystone on Thursday afternoon at Stonehedge Golf Course.

The Royals (4-2) enjoyed the summer-like conditions by posting their second-best team score of the season on the difficult par-71 layout. Sophomore Brett Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) led the way with a 5-over-par 76. Junior Patrick King (Thornton, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) added a 7-over 78 to give the team two sub-80 scores. Those scores were career lows for both Lubba and King.

Freshman Patrick Budicini (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) shot 81 in his first collegiate match, and sophomore Griffin Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) added an 82 to round out the top four scores.

Junior Matthew Kane (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) and sophomore Travis Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) added a pair of 84s in the victory. Travis Lubba's round was also a career low.

The match also marked the first time in University of Scranton golf history that triplets played in the same match, as Brett, Griffin and Travis Lubba were in the lineup for the first time in their careers.

The Royals will be back in action on Thursday, Sept. 29, when they face Marywood and Rosemont at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic, Pa.
