Men's Golf Sits Third After First Round Of AGA Collegiate Championships

MOOSIC, Pa. – Senior Kevin Nardella (Spring Brook Township, Pa./North Pocono) and sophomore Kyle Hayes (East Norwich, N.Y./Oyster Bay) both shot 79 on Saturday to help The University of Scranton men's golf team into third place after the first day of the Anthracite Golf Association Collegiate Championships at Glenmaura National Golf Club.

The Royals finished the day with a four-player score of 320, 10 shots behind King's, which leads at 310. Rosemont shot 319 to move into second, a stroke ahead of the Royals.

Senior Tyler Huggins (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) added an 80 for Scranton, and junior Michael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) added an 82 to round out the Royals' top four scores.

The second and final round of the event will take place on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Glenmaura National.
