Five members of The University of Scranton men's golf team earned Empire 8 Conference President's List honors for their work in the classroom while the team earned the conference's All-Academic Team distinction for the 2016-17 academic year.
Seniors Steven Lambrinakos (Stamford, Conn./Trinity) and Kevin Nardella (Spring Brook Township, Pa./North Pocono), junior Michael Boland (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer), sophomore Andrew Milisits (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and freshman John Geppert (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) were named to the President's List, which recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.75 during the spring semester.
Lambrinakos graduated last month with a degree in finance while Nardella earned his degrees in secondary education – mathematics and mathematics. Boland is a health administration major, Milisits is pursuing his degree in exercise science, and Geppert's major is health administration.
As a team, the Royals finished with a 3.25 GPA for the spring semester, earning Empire 8 Conference All-Academic Team honors. The All-Academic Team distinction recognizes teams that achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher for the semester.
