MOOSIC, Pa. – Last week, junior Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) shot a career-low round while leading The University of Scranton men's golf team to a victory. On Thursday, eight days after that round, Ralph went two shots lower, carding an even-par 71 to lead the Royals to wins over Marywood and Wilkes at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
Ralph's round led Scranton (6-0) to a 310-347 win over Marywood and a 310-352 victory over Wilkes as the team remained unbeaten early in the season. Last week, Ralph carded a 1-over par 73 to lead the Royals past Wilkes, 307-370, at Huntsville Golf Club in Dallas, Pa.
Sophomore Thomas McAuliffe (Reiserstown, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) carded a 79 to give Scranton two golfers in the 70s. Senior Andrew Milisits (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and freshman Nicholas Campanelli (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) both shot 80 to round out the Royals' top four scores.
The men's golf team will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 25, when the Royals face Misericordia at 1 p.m. at Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas, Pa.
