DALLAS, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's golf team remained unbeaten for the fall season by posting a 318-357 win over Misericordia on Sunday afternoon at Irem Temple Country Club.
The Royals (7-0) were again led by junior Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley), who carded a 6-over-par 78 on the par-72, 6,654-yard layout. Ralph has now led the Royals in each of the last three matches he has competed in, averaging 74.0 over those three rounds.
Seniors Kyle Hayes (East Norwich, N.Y./Oyster Bay) and Brett Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township), as well as sophomore Thomas McAuliffe (Reiserstown, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) all shot 80 to complete the team's top four scores.
Scranton's top five scores – including senior Andrew Milisits (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), who shot 81 – were all lower than the Cougars' top score.
The men's golf team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 6, when they host Misericordia at 1 p.m. at Scranton Municipal Golf Course in Mount Cobb, Pa.
