Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Landmark Conference Championships

Results

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's golf team combined for a score of 318 on Saturday in the final round of the Landmark Conference Championships, finishing sixth in the 36-hole tournament with a two-day total of 639 at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course.

Goucher claimed the Landmark Conference championship with a two-day total of 608, 15 strokes clear of runner-up Drew, who check in with a 623 for the weekend on the par 72, 6,756-yard layout. 

Senior Erik Ridley (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) was Scranton's top finisher on the weekend, tying for 13th out of 39 golfers in the tournament with an overall score of 158 after carding an 80 on Saturday.

Sophomore Thomas McAuliffe (Reisterstown, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) recorded the Royals' low round on the day Saturday, completing the course in 79 strokes for a two-day total of 159, tying him for 15th place in the competition.

Senior Brett Lubba (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Township) tied for 17th with a 36-hole score of 160 after carding an 81 on Saturday while junior Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) fired an 80 in the final round, tying for 22nd in the field with a overall score of 162 for the weekend.

Senior Andrew Milisits (Northampton, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) improved by three strokes on Saturday, checking in with an 81 to place 29th overall with a two-round total of 165.

Drew's Lucas Artigliere edged out Goucher's Julian Gonzalez for the individual championship on a two-hole playoff.  Both players had a two-day score of 145 before Artigliere best Gonzalez on the second hole of the playoff.
