HANOVER, Pa. - Senior Calvin Ralph (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) came within a shot of matching his career-low round, as he fired a 72 on a wet afternoon at Wyoming Valley Country Club in leading The University of Scranton men's golf team (303) to a pair of victories over Marywood (311) and King's (332).
With the victories, Scranton improved to 10-0 on the fall season in dual matches.
For Ralph, the 72 was his lowest round of the year to date by five shots, as he earned medalist honors for the afternoon with his +1 score.
Elsewhere, junior Thomas McAuliffe (Reisterstown, Md./Loyola-Blakefield) carded his second straight round of 74 (+3), while sophomore Nicholas Campanelli (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) continued his strong play on the fall with a 78 (+7).
Rounding out the performances on the day for Scranton was junior Colin Sommers (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) who posted a 79, and in his first career match, junior Devin Adams (Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central) finished with an 82.
The University of Scranton men's golf team returns to action on Monday, as they take part in the Valley Country Club Invitational in Sugarloaf. Tee-off is set for 11 a.m.
