The Royals (8-6), who were playing their regular season finale, scored 12 first-half goals en route to a 12-1 lead. The 12 goals in a half are the most since they scored 12 in the second half of an 18-3 win at Western Connecticut State on March 12 of last season.

Junior attackman Patrick O'Rourke (Floral Park, N.Y./Chaminade) had three goals and freshman attackman Quinn Killeen (Berkeley Heights, N.J./New Providence) added two. Junior midfielder Adam Drury (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), freshman attackman Connor Kirkwood (Millburn, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) and freshman midfielder Michael Elefonte (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) added assists.
The Royals enjoyed a commanding 47-21 edge in shots and won 15 of 20 faceoffs, including 11 of 12 by Drury. Scranton committed just eight turnovers compared to 16 by Washington & Jefferson (5-11). Scranton also won the ground ball battle, 46-30.
Drury led Scranton with eight ground balls and freshman defender Alex Dadourian (Summit, N.J./Summit) had four ground balls and a team-high two caused turnovers. Four Scranton goalkeepers combined to make six saves, led by senior Alex Malecki (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough), who made three first-half saves to earn his seventh win of the season.
