Drury Snags Honorable Mention All-Region Honors From IMLCA
Adam Drury

The awards keep rolling in for junior midfielder Adam Drury (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team. Drury has been named All-South Region honorable mention by the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA), his third major award in the last three weeks.

A faceoff specialist, Drury (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) was also named honorable mention All-American and Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association after putting together one of the most dominant seasons by a faceoff man in University of Scranton men's lacrosse history.

Drury led the Landmark Conference in faceoffs won (181) and faceoff percentage (.733) and finished second in ground balls with 68. His .733 win percentage in the faceoff circle is the best in the 31-year history of the men's lacrosse program at Scranton, eclipsing the previous record by an impressive .055.

That .733 faceoff win percentage was also the second-best mark in all of NCAA Division III this season. Drury trailed only Zach Cook of Brockport State, who finished with a .752 win percentage.

In 14 games, Drury won at least 10 faceoffs 12 times and at least 15 on five occasions, including an impressive 20 of 23 in a Landmark Conference semifinal against Elizabethtown on May 3. In two games against the Blue Jays, who went on to win the conference title, Drury won 37 of 41 faceoffs (.902).

In seven games against Landmark Conference opponents, Drury won 89 of 117 faceoffs for a win percentage of .761.

Drury also added one assist and took six shots while helping the Royals finish the season with an 8-7 record and reach the post season for the seventh straight year and ninth time in 10 years in the Landmark Conference.
