Junior attackman Tim Dolan (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team has found his scoring touch this season. On Saturday, he had a career-high five points on four goals and an assist, and as a result, he has been named the University's Athlete of the Week.
Dolan tallied that career-high five points in a narrow 12-10 loss in the Landmark Conference opener at Goucher. He scored twice in the first period, once in the third, and his fourth-period goal brought the Royals within two with 2:37 to play in the contest. He also had an assist in the fourth period as Scranton tried to rally from an earlier five-goal deficit.
Dolan entered the season with 13 career points on two goals and 11 assists. So far this season, he has put up 17 goals and seven assists for 24 points. He has scored multiple goals five times and multiple points in eight of the team's 10 games, including each of the last six.
The men's lacrosse team will be back in action on Thursday, March 29, when the Royals host Catholic in a Landmark Conference matchup at 1 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Field.
