Freshman Mike Bouhall (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbook) of The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team had a huge game on Saturday at Moravian as the Royals clinched the second seed in the Landmark Conference playoffs with a 16-8 win over the Greyhounds. For his performance, he has been honored as the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Bouhall enjoyed the best offensive output of his young career on Saturday, totaling eight points on six goals and two assists to lead Scranton at Moravian as the Royals secured a home Landmark Conference semifinal playoff game.
Bouhall had two goal and two assists in the first quarter as the Royals raced out to a 6-1 lead and scored again in the second period as Scranton pushed its advantage to 9-4 at halftime. He added three more goals after the break as the Royals pulled away with the eight-goal win on the road while also adding two groundballs and one caused turnover on the afternoon.
For the season, Bouhall has recorded 18 points on nine goals and nine assists in 15 games. He has also contributed eight groundballs and five caused turnovers.
Bouhall and the Royals will welcome third seeded Susquehanna to Weiss Field on Wednesday evening for a Landmark Conference semifinal matchup scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in Scranton.
