Andrew Hauk joined the University of Scranton men's lacrosse team in October 2017 as an assistant coach. 

In his first two seasons at Scranton, Hauk has helped lead the Royals to back-to-back Landmark Conference playoff berths and 20 victories.  During that time, the team has also posted a 9-3 record in Landmark Conference games.

Hauk came to Scranton after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at Western Connecticut State. While there, he helped the Colonials improve their win total by five from 2016 to 2017 while earning a Little East Conference (LEC) playoff berth last season.

Hauk's on-field responsibilities at Western Connecticut State included defense and goalies, man-down situations and running the substitution box. Off the field, he played a key role in recruiting, monitoring team academics, practice planning and team-building exercises. With the Colonials, Hauk recruited and coached four players who received all-conference honors in 2017, including three freshmen, as well as the LEC Rookie of the Year

Hauk is a 2014 graduate of SUNY-Plattsburgh, where he also served as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015, serving as the goalie coach and assistant defensive coordinator.

On the field, Hauk was a three-year starter in goal at Lycoming College before transferring to SUNY-Plattsburgh for his senior year. In his senior season, Hauk helped the Cardinals go 13-6 and reach the State University of New York Athletic Conference championship game. He finished the season with a 13-6 record, a .552 save percentage and a goals-against average of 7.84 in 1,056 minutes.

Hauk has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from SUNY-Plattsburgh.
