Senior Tim DiBisceglie (Mine Hill, N.J./Gill St. Benards School) of the University of Scranton men's soccer team picked the right time to score his second goal of the 2016 season on Saturday at Susquehanna, as his first half score gave the Royals a lead they would not relinquish.
For his efforts, DiBisceglie has been named the University of Scranton Athlete of the Week for the period
The eventual game-winner for DiBisceglie came in the 28th minute, giving Scranton a 1-0 lead they would add on to in the second half with another goal, as the Royals picked up a key 2-0 win over Susquehanna. With the win, Scranton moved to 8-3 overall and 2-2 in the Landmark Conference.
For the 2016 season, both of the goals scored by DiBisceglie were game-winners. For his career, DiBisceglie has now scored seven goals, as well.
DiBisceglie and the Royals return to action on Wednesday, taking on Dickinson in a non-conference match at Fitzpatrick Field. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.
