The University of Scranton men's soccer program is competing in its 50th season this fall and is inviting alumni, family, and friends of the program to a celebration of the program's storied history on Saturday, September 29.
The festivities will kick off at 9:30 a.m. with an alumni game at Weiss Field at the Quinn Athletics Campus followed by the dedication of the Steve Klingman Plaza at Weiss Field at 11:15 a.m.
Scranton will take on Goucher in a key Landmark Conference match starting at 1 p.m. on Weiss Field with a cocktail reception to follow at 5 p.m. in Leahy Hall. Tickets for the reception at $25.
Guy Valvano, author of "Pushing 50: A Chronicle of The University of Scranton Men's Soccer Program," will also be on-hand to sign copies of the book.

Additionally, as part of this year-long celebration of Scranton Soccer's 50th season, Scranton is holding a Decade Fundraising Challenge to benefit Royals Soccer. The University will honor both the decade with the most donors and the decade who raises the most dollars, and all donors from the winning decade(s) will receive an exclusive Scranton Soccer gift.
