CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson defeated The University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team in a dual meet on Saturday, 167-94.  The Red Devils improve to 3-1 on the season while dropping the Royals to 3-2 on the year.

Sophomore Matt Mills (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) led the Royals with a pair of victories on the day, taking first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.80 before touching first in the 200 backstroke with a mark of 1:59.85.

Senior Michael Ramsthaler (Florham Park, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) also claimed a first place finish on the day, pacing the field in the 100 backstroke at 55.85 to win the event.

Senior Chris Whalen (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) and sophomore Jack Donnelly (Washington Crossing, Pa./Council Rock North) added second place finishes for the Royals against Dickinson.  Whalen was the runner-up in the 100 freestyle while Donnelly claimed second in the 50 freestyle.

The Royals also had teams place second in both relay events against the Red Devils.

In the 200 medley relay, Ramsthaler, Whalen, Donnelly, and junior Timothy Quigley (Hatboro, Pa./Archbishop Wood), picked up a runner-up result while Whalen, Mills, senior Alexander Rigione (Fairfield, Conn./Saint Joseph), and sophomore John Fimmano (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) did the same in the 400 freestyle relay.

Scranton will be back in action next Saturday on day one of Diamond City Invitational at the Wyoming Valley CYC in Wilkes-Barre.
