After registering a third-place finish at the Landmark Conference Championships in each of the last two seasons, the Royals welcome a new head coach in 2019-20 in Chris Brown. Brown joined the program in August from Hartwick College, where he was an assistant for two seasons.

Brown inherits a strong group in his first season as the head coach at Scranton, as the squad returns five All-Landmark Conference performers from a season ago.

Leading the group is senior diver Michael Diana (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata-Somerville), who enters his final year in the program the three-time defending Landmark Conference Male Diver of the Year. Last season, Diana was the Landmark Conference Champion in both the one-meter and three-meter dives, sweeping the events for the second time in his three-year career.

On the swimming side, a pair of Landmark Conference Champions return in junior's John Fimmano (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) and Jack Donnelly (Washington Crossing, Pa. /Council Rock North). Last season, Fimmano was an All-Landmark Conference First Team pick in the 200-butterfly, while Donnelly did the same thing in the 100-breaststroke.

The University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team will open their 2019-20 slate on Sunday, Oct. 20, as they travel across town to Marywood for a dual meet. After traveling to Catholic (Oct. 26) and King's (Nov. 1), the Royals will host their first meet in the Bryon Center on Nov. 2, entertaining Juniata and Goucher.
