The University of Scranton men's and women's swimming & diving teams are raising funds for PS I Love You Day, a suicide prevention intuitive that will take place on Feb. 14.

In conjunction with the Healthy Minds Club on campus, The University of Scranton men's & women's swimming & diving programs will once again take part in P.S. I Love You Day on Friday, February 14.

P.S. I Love You day was started by Brooke DiPalma in 2011 after she lost her father to suicide. Each year, it is the second Friday in February and is a day to raise awareness of suicide and to raise funds to donate to suicide prevention.

Over the last few days, senior John Fimmano (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) and the rest of the Scranton swimming & diving teams have been selling bracelets and baked goods. Proceeds of the sale will not only go to the swim teams, but to P.S. I Love You Day Inc. and the Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative, which is based in Scranton.

Also, on Friday, they are encouraging people to wear purple in honor of P.S. I Love You Day.

Be sure to visit the P.S. I Love You Day table inside the DeNaples Center on-campus tomorrow, February 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. And, for more on P.S. I Love You Day, check out their official website here: http://psiloveyouday.net/.
