ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Scranton men's tennis team continued their slate of matches over Spring Break over the last two days in Orlando, and the Royals fell in a pair of matches to Roosevelt on Sunday (8-1) and Lees-McRae on Monday (7-2).
With the losses, the Royals dropped to 3-3 on the year.
Against Lees-McRae, the team of senior Alexander Ochalski (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) and sophomore Tarquin McGurrin (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Prep) were winners at number one doubles, 6-2. But, Lees-McRae was victorious at two and three doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles.
In singles action, senior Brian Harkins (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) captured a straight set 6-3, 6-2 win in the number four spot of the line-up, but unfortunately for the Royals, they lost in every other singles position to drop the match.
