ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Scranton men's tennis team continued their slate of matches over Spring Break over the last two days in Orlando, and the Royals fell in a pair of matches to Roosevelt on Sunday (8-1) and Lees-McRae on Monday (7-2).

With the losses, the Royals dropped to 3-3 on the year.

Against Lees-McRae, the team of senior Alexander Ochalski (Hopewell, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) and sophomore Tarquin McGurrin (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Prep) were winners at number one doubles, 6-2. But, Lees-McRae was victorious at two and three doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles.

In singles action, senior Brian Harkins (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) captured a straight set 6-3, 6-2 win in the number four spot of the line-up, but unfortunately for the Royals, they lost in every other singles position to drop the match.

In the Roosevelt match Sunday, Harkins was Scranton's lone victor on the afternoon, as he captured his match at number four singles, 7-5, 6-2. Elsewhere, Roosevelt swept doubles taking all three matches, then won the other five matches contested in singles in straight sets to clinch the win.
