Senior Michael Diana (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata-Somerville) of The University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team and junior Tarquin McGurrin (Clarks Summit, Pa./Scranton Prep) of the men's tennis team were named to the 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District At Large First Team that was announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
Both student-athletes earned the selection in District 4 which includes all Division III institutions throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Each member of the Academic All-District First Team advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot which will be announced the week of June 16.
Diana holds a 3.9 GPA as a Psychology, Counseling & Human Services major, while McGurrin has a 4.0 GPA as an Accounting major.

Diana is a three-time Landmark Conference Diver of the Year (2017, 2019; co-Diver of the Year 2018) and is a five-time Landmark Conference champion. The senior captured the title in the one-meter dive in 2017 and 2019, while he took home the three-meter dive in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Diana holds a program record in the three-meter dive (373.40 points) and is an eight-time All-Landmark Conference selection. Scranton has registered a top-four finish at the conference championship meet in four straight seasons including a second place finish in 2017.
The Somerset, N.J., native is a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll and was the recipient of the Landmark's 2019-20 Men's Swimming & Diving Senior Scholar Athlete award. Diana also received the Carlesimo Award at last week's Senior Student-Athlete celebration.
McGurrin has earned All-Landmark Conference First Team honors in both singles and doubles play in his first two seasons in the program. The junior enjoyed immediate success on the court as he has posted a 29-15 (.659) mark in singles play over the last two years including a 9-4 record in Landmark Conference matches and is 24-18 in doubles matches.
All three of Tarquin's older brothers played tennis at The University of Scranton and he spent his freshman season of 2018-19 playing doubles matches with older brother, Keller, at the No. 1 doubles flight.
The University of Scranton men's tennis team has advanced to the Landmark Conference championship match in both 2018 and 2019.
