SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's track & field team enjoyed another strong effort on Saturday, recording four top-10 results on Saturday at Susquehanna's Jim Taylor Invitational.
Sophomore Matt Kinback (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) earned a runner-up finish in the 800 meter run, clocking in at 1:55.11.
Freshman Shane McKeon (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) placed third in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a mark of 9:57.89
Junior Aidan Helie (Randallstown, Md./Calvert Hall College H.S.) finished 10th in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 37:29.09.
Senior Mark Merli (Peckville, Pa./Valley View) was 10th in the long jump with a mark of 6.20 meters.
Scranton will be back in action on Friday afternoon at the NEPA Challenge hosted by Keystone. The competition will start at 3 p.m. in La Plume, Pa.
