A trio of athletes from The University of Scranton men's and women's track & field teams have earned All-Landmark Conference honors following their efforts at this past weekend's outdoor conference championship meet held at Goucher.
On the men's side, sophomore Matt Kinback (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) captured First Team All-Landmark Conference honors after winning the 800 meter run at this conference championship meet on Sunday. Kinback clocked a winning time of 1:53.10, setting a new personal record in the event and moving up to 29th best in all of NCAA Division III this spring.
Senior Andrew Charway (Irvington, N.J./Christ the King Prep) garnered Second Team All-Landmark Conference accolades in the 100 meter dash after finishing second in Sunday's finals of the event. Charway clocked in with a season-best time of 11.18 seconds to secure the runner-up finish.
For the women's team, Caroline Banas (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) collected All-Landmark Conference honors for the second straight year in the high jump competition. A year after winning the event, Banas claimed a runner-up finish to secure Second Team All-Conference honors this season by clearing the bar at 1.57 meters.
